With its soft white sand and warm topaz water, it is easy to see at first glance why Patong Beach is one of the world’s premiere tourist destinations. During the high seasons Patong Beach attracts thousands of visitors from across the world and with the beach being a whopping 3.5km long, it is large enough to accommodate them with ease.

While sunning yourself on a sun lounger under the clear blue skies you can sample the delicious food being sold by hawkers passing by. From steamed fresh crabs and delicious chilled coconut milk straight from the husk, perhaps with a drop of rum added, the beach is a great place to relax throughout the day. If you are finding the scorching sun a little too hot you could cool down with an ice cream or maybe take a dip on the clear waters of the Andaman Sea.

If you are looking for something a little more active then you will find jet skis and windsurfing boards available for hire. Snorkelers will enjoy witnessing the many breeds of fish that make their home among the shallows and divers will find great diving sites further out to sea. With people of all ages coming to enjoy the sun, sea and sand the beach is family orientated and has something for everybody. Whether you are looking to spend the day being active under the sun, or you would rather just spend the day relaxing and topping up your tan, Patong Beach is a great place to be.

Running along the front of Patong town, Patong Beach has everything nearby that you could need helping to make your stay on the beach as comfortable as possible. If you would like to get something to eat at a restaurant or maybe have a look at what shopping is available, nothing is too far away.

Although Patong Beach is not the only paradise beach to be found on Phuket, it is certainly among the most visited. The fantastic combination of clear waters, white sand, brilliant weather and the laid back Thai culture make Patong Beach a destination that you will never forget.
